Installation of the Bathroom Gem Floor
Toilet
Installing the Bathroom Gem Floor Toilet is a
very easy process, similar to installing any conventional
toilet. Your plumber should have all the tools, equipment and
knowledge necessary for a successful installation.
Step 1: Location Selection
The first step is selecting a convenient
location for the floor toilet that is easily accessible to an
individual who uses a wheelchair. The location should be
within 10 feet of a cold water supply (such as the cold water supply
for a sink or conventional toilet), and within 5 feet of a drain line
(either the home's drainage system or a conventional toilet).
Step 2: Prepare Floor Position
Locate the position on the floor to install the
toilet. The unit will fit between the floor joists in most
homes with a wood floor. Cut a 14 3/8" by 16" hole in the
wood floor.
Step 3: Fit Toilet into Hole
Fit the floor toilet into the hole and attach
with the supplied wood screws.
Step 4: Attach to Cold Water Supply
Locate the cold water supply source.
If located in the wall, drill a hole to expose access to the
line. Attach a 3/8" T-connector to the cold water supply line
(or attach to the cold water supply line of a sink or conventional
toilet).
Step 5: Attach to Drain
Locate the waste line connection, either
directly into the toilet (using the clip to attach to the toilet bowl)
or into the drain line at the most convenient location.
Step 6: Connect to Power Supply
Plug the 110-volt GFI plug into any grounded
power outlet.
Your new Bathroom Gem Floor Toilet is now ready
for use.
