The Only Locking Screed System

  • Reusable

  • Extremely Durable Precision Molded Top Clips

When pouring concrete by the method of wet screed, 1x stakes with nails, or on corrugated metal over bar joists, there are no guarantees the elevation of the pour will not change during the pouring process.  Each method requires constant elevation checks that cost the contractor both time and money.

With the Sure Slab System, elevation checks are not required - the screeds are LOCKED in place.  Bay rows can be established in any width, fasteners are set 5 to 6 feet apart in straight rows.  On a pre-cast topping, the Sure Slab bottom clip can be shot to pre-cast with a Hilti 1" pin to secure the base and ensure a solid elevation that locks into place.  Just establish your bay width & chalk a line to keep clips in a straight row.  Fire bottom clips to pre-cast 5 to 6 feet apart.  Screw in Sure Slab top clips with a 3/8" stud.  Set elevation, lock in pipe, and you are ready to pour.

Three Tried But Not So True Methods...

Wet Screed

With wet screeds, a person just walking close to the area that a finisher had put to elevation could change tremendously!  The larger the job, the more people working on that area of a pour, the more likely elevation will change.

1x Stakes with Nails

The same thing happens with the 1x method of putting a stake to elevation with 2 nails bent to hold the pipe in place.  If the pipe is bumped, a change of elevation occurs.  Another problem occurs if the pipe boils out of position and actually raises out of the pour losing the elevation setting completely.

Corrugated Metal over Bar joists

This method has a longer setup time - and if a finisher or laborer bumps the rebar with the foot, the weld will break loose of the decking and elevation is lost.

Sure Slab

The Sure Slab System eliminates the prior pitfalls in the way it is designed and held into place.  The Sure Slab fasteners are made from steel and are fixed to the steel underlayment.  The bottom fasteners are arched in the center to provide elevation adjustment.  A threaded stud is used to hold the plastic clip in place and provide infinite elevation adjustment.

Electrical conduit is then snapped into the plastic clips, locking the system together.  The plastic clip holds the conduit pipe tightly in position assuring the elevation will never change.

When the screeding process is finished, simply pull the conduit and remove the plastic clips for reuse on another job.
